Where can I find volunteer opportunities?

PTSO volunteer opportunities are sent out in the weekly Navigating the River newsletter.  You can find the sign ups in the PTSO section of the newsletter.  Many of the opportunities can also be found on the home page of the RMS PTSO website.  

What do I need to bring to a volunteer event?

You will need to bring a valid photo id in order to sign in and get your visitor/volunteer name badge.

Where do I go when I arrive at the school?

Generally the volunteer location will be listed in the sign up genius for the event, but all events will require volunteers to check in at the front office. 

Can I bring younger siblings to volunteer events?

In the interest of safety and coordinating volunteer activities, younger siblings cannot attend volunteer events unless specifically stated in the volunteer opportunity.  

How do I change my time slot?

Log in to your Signup Genius account to change your time slot if needed.  

What if I have an emergency and cannot fulfill my volunteer commitment?

We understand that emergencies happen and sometimes parents have situations that prevent them from fulfilling their volunteer commitment.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you will not be attending a slot for which you signed up by either cancelling your time slot on SignUp Genius or emailing us at riverwatchmsptso@gmail.com so we can try to fill your shift.
